AND HOLSTER SET. The set is referenced on page 768 of the book, U.S. MILITARY HOLSTERS AND RELATED ACCOUTREMENTS by Edward Scott Meadows. The web holster is marked inside the flap with the Mills cartridge logo and on the end of the brass tip at bottom with th Mills logo and 1914 patent dates. Holster equipped Model 1910 belt hook. Flap is secured by "lift the dot" type fastener. Khaki Model 1912 pistol belt is marked on the brass tab "MADE BY" / MILL WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO. / WOCESTER MASS U.S.A." Unmarked 3 pocket cartridge pouch. Pockets are arranged vertically and slide onto a belt. Positioned by a brass snap. Pockets closed by "lift the dot" type fastener. Canvas first aid pouch. Flap is marked inside "THE M-H CO." / "7-1918". Pouch equipped with 1910 belt hook. Pouch contains sealed brown coated brass first aid packet dated 1918. CONDITION: items are in generally good condition w/ light to moderate wear & staining. Ammunition pouch retaining snap is missing from belt. Metal fittings have notable loss of the Mills Bronze subdued finish & have a patinaed appearance. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Edward Scott Meadows. (02-22088/RW). $500-1,000.
