MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1110140. Bbl. 24". Marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 10-19 / A". The Mark 1 rifle is made w/ an oval ejection port in the left receiver rail to accommodate the Pedersen Device. This rifle retains its cutoff & spindle which was used to retain the device in the rifle. The double sear trigger has been replaced by a standard service type. Ladder rear sight w/o volley notch. Blade front sight. Replacement Model 1903A4 bolt assembly made by Remington. All milled furniture including smooth trap buttplate. Walnut stock set. "S" type straight grip buttstock. Stock is marked w/ boxed "RA-P" on left side indicating overhaul at the Raritan arsenal & two faint encircled "P" proofs under grip. Brown leather Model 1907 sling in worn cracked condition. CONDITION: worn & stained stock set has arsenal rework type finish w/ slight loss of wood in inletted areas w/ numerous handling marks. Metal retains most of its arsenal rework parkerized finish. Fair worn bore w/ frosting. (25-3098/RW). CURIO. $500-800.
