RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1053500. Bbl. 26". Marked behind front sight, "E (flaming bomb) 9-18." All visible parts' markings are "E." Ladder aperture rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight with protective ears. Bolt handle is marked on top with a flaming bomb and "U." Left receiver rail has flaming bomb and eagle acceptance marks. Walnut stock set. Stock is marked on left side with boxed "RIA / FK" Rock Island Arsenal overhaul mark and partial illegible boxed marking. Buttstock has "4B" assembly mark under grip. Quality brown leather military-style sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel-plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: stock set has lightly worn original finish with numerous small handling marks throughout, maintaining a good appearance. Metal retains a large degree of its arsenal-reworked Parkerization with light wear. Bore is shiny with sharp lands and a hint of frosting in grooves.
