RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 289668. Bbl. 26". WWII replacement barrel is marked behind front sight "JA" indicating "Johnson Automatics" & "flaming bomb". All visible parts markings are "E". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1,600 yards. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Non-matching walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked under grip w/ "P" proof & eagle acceptance mark. Marked on left side faintly w/ the "3GM/K" overhaul mark. CONDITION: buttstock has arsenal rework type finish w/ moderate wear, staining & handling marks. Notable dents underneath forearm & scattered tiny paint flecks. Handguards are notably lighter in color. Bore is shiny, but w/ scattered pitting throughout. (25-2720/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
