SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1077100 (mfg. 1943 w/in S# range 1,060,000 - 1,096,404). Union Switch & Signal of Swissvale, Pennsylvania received a contract on May 5, 1942 for the manufacture of 200,000 Model 1911A1 pistols, of which 55,000 were produced (2nd rarest production of WWII 1911A1 pistols). Correct features include: Type 18 High Standard 5" bbl., bbl. bushing having concentric rings, Keyes Fiber grip panels: right Type 9 & left Type 10, Type E variation 3 hammer, Type B slide lock, beavertail grip safety, Type 3 arched mainspring housing, Type 2 mainspring housing pin, short 1911A1 trigger, Type C Mag. release lock, Type 3 Recoil spring plug, Type B recoil spring guide, Type C front & rear sights. Left side of frame has "RCD" inspector cartouche w/ firing proof on slide & mag. release. MAGS: 3 - 7 rd.: 2 MS Little & 1 marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on base. Colt mag. very good. M.S. Little mags. fair w/ oxidation. CONDITION: very good original Du-lite original finish having several marks on top of slide. Wear includes slide stop function & assembly wear, wear spot near S#, wear of finish front bottom portion of frame, including light edge wear throughout. Very good grips.
