PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 2132882 (1945). Per "U.S. Military Automatic Pistols 1920-1945" by Edward Scott Meadows this pistol was shipped to the Transportation Officer at Raritan Ordnance Depot in Nixon, New Jersery Jan. 18, 1945 (S# block 2,129,814-2,134,403). Correct features include Type 19 Flannery 5" barrel, Type 10 Keyes Fiber grips, Type E variation 5 hammer, Type D slide lock,long tang grip safety, Type 4 arched mainspring housing, Type 2 mainspring housing pin, short 1911A1 trigger, Type C mag. release lock, Type 3 recoil spring plug, Type B recoil spring guide, Type C front & rear sights. Frame has "FJA" inspector initials & crossed cannons proof; bottom of frame has 3 dot stamps. MAGS: 1 Scovill 7 rd. mag.; good finish with wear. CONDITION: very good original parkerized finish showing scattered light marks, edge wear & wear from slide lock assembly. Near excellent grips. Very good barrel blue with cycling wear, bore has strong lights showing light pitting near edges of lands. (24-970/MD). CURIO. $1,750-2,500.
