Tags read, in part, “To be removed after bomb has been placed in dropping gear and arming wire inserted”. Locations include, but are not limited to, Railroad Bridge at Merzemich, Landau Germany, and Troops & Installations at Nutterden. The lot further includes period photographs of Meyer with his bomb crew, Meyer's discharge, and other paperwork, memoirs by Fred Meyer titled “MY 3 YEARS AND 25 DAYS”, and numerous other related & associated paperwork. CONDITION: items generally show light wear. Many of the fuze tags show moderate but all are complete and very legible. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox.
