(JUNGLE CARBINE) MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. .303 British. S# A1584. Numbers match on receiver bolt and magazine. All correct features for the No. 5 rifle including lighter cut at rear of receiver, hollow bolt knob, 800 yard rear sight and lightened trigger guard. Receiver is marked "NO 5 MK1 ROF (F) 8-44". Butt socket is marked on left side "ENGLAND" an early export mark. Barrel has export markings on top left in front of handguard. Blade front sight with protective ears. Cone type flash hider and bayonet lug are present. Walnut stock set with black rubber recoil pad. Correct green web sling. MAGS: one matching 10 round detachable. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 7 7/8" fullered blade NO. 5 Mk.7 Bowie style bayonet. Dated 1947 on left ricasso. Wood grips secured by two screws. Black metal scabbard with Khaki web frog. Bayonet in very good arsenal rework condition. CONDITION: stock set has added arsenal rework finish over extensive wear, staining and handling marks.
