Cal. 303 Brit. S# S146A66. Serial # matches on receiver and bolt. Bbl. 25".Barrel marked on the right side of muzzle with British export proofs. This rifle has an unusual set of markings including the receiver ring which is "RH .41". Flip type aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. In addition to the above markings the receiver is marked on the left side "NO 4 MK1". Vertical bolt head latch. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked on the left side "R H 4 1". Marked on right side with a prominent "R" and an "FR" which indicates a "Factory Repair" in India. There are the remnants of a white band around the butt. The grooved rear handguard has an "R". White metal trap buttplate. MAGS: 1 -10 rd detachable. CONDITION: stock set has extensive wear, staining and handling marks. Metal has traces of original finish turning grey and patina, with wear and handling marks. Dark oxidized 2 groove bore. (24-1631/RW). CURIO. $300-400.
