WITH CHINESE NATIONALIST & COMMUNIST MARKINGS. Cal. 303 British. S# 65C6680. Numbers match on bolt & receiver. Bbl. 25". Consigner supplied information states that these arms marked on top left of receiver w/ "U.S. Property" were allocated to Chinese Nationalist Army in Burma & used for training purposes. They are marked in Chinese on right side of buttstock "For training only". During Chinese Civil War some of these rifles were captured by Communists & given a property marking on left side of receiver in electro pencil. Receiver marked on left side w/ "S" "NO4 MK1*". Buttstock has 3 lg. Chinese characters on right side. Flip type aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Sight protector is stamped type. Mixed hardwood stock set w/ cast metal buttplate. MAGS: 1 unmarked detachable 10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 8" spike blade NO.4 MK2 bayonet marked "S" (Savage) w/ steel scabbard. Bayonet in well worn condition, scabbard has higher degree of original finish. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear& handling marks. Metal has 80% original finish w/ wear & handling marks. Shiny 2 groove bore w/ scattered light pitting. (22-576/RW). CURIO. $400-600.
