HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 314549P. Bbl. 3 7/8". Model PP semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther circa. 1944. Left side of slide bears the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of slide, chamber, and bbl. exhibit an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof. Rear grip strap exhibits a spurious "RFV 24000 W" marking. Metal components have been refinished in nickel plating. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Walther banner checkered black plastic grips. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked with a partially illegible mfg. stamp "SCHOW & CO. A.G." above "1940" and "BERLIN" on the side flap, with an Eagle/ 286 acceptance proof on the closure tab. Interior of holster is ink stamped "Walther P.P.". CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied nickel plated finish, exhibiting areas of flaking and spots of pitting beneath the finish overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit scattered handling marks, with the left grip exhibit warping and cracking at the top left corner of the panel. Holster exhibits wear, with areas of age related cracking and crazing present overall. (24-1111/MLW). CURIO. $300-450.
