WITTE. This dagger measures 14 1/4" overall and features a plain blade with a raised medial ridge, marked on the reverse "(logo) KRONECK ERNST ERICH WITTE SOLINGEN." Plated eagle crossguard with oval banded pommel. Black grip featuring a central RLB star with blue enamel. Black enameled scabbard with plated mounts. Original leather hanger with belt clip marked "A DRGM." CONDITION: blade shows very light wear with some slight staining. Hilt shows light wear with minimal loss of finish. Grip has a few scuffs and dings, and there is a tiny bit of blue enamel missing from the RLB star. Scabbard shows light wear, with finish being better than 95% complete. Hanger is solid, but much of the black finish is worn. (02-23874/BF). $900-1,300.
