This dress tunic is a deep sage green color with an 8-button front. The tunic has a dark green collar with dark green cuffs. Both the cuffs and collar, as well as the front and tails, are piped in yellow. The cuffs have yellow flashes with silver bullion, and the collar tabs are also yellow with silver bullion. The shoulder boards currently on the uniform are removable, but the uniform originally had sewn-in shoulder boards that are now missing. The shoulder boards are original but not correct for this tunic. The right breast has a fine quality silver bullion eagle, and the left side has a 3-award ribbon bar for a Long Service Medal, Afrika Corps Campaign Medal, and an Anschluss Medal. There appears to be the ghost of badge loops for three badges on the left side. There is a silver bullion aiguilette over the right shoulder. The interior is lined in sage green rayon, and the sleeves have a striped cotton lining. A tag below the collar reads "Paul Gerlich LUDWIGSLUST i/M." Inside the interior pocket is a sewn-in tag that reads "Paul Gerlich LUDWIGSLUST i/M. Herr" with the name "Lucker v Kleinfacst" written in ink. The spelling of the name is subject to interpretation as the script is difficult to read. The tag is dated "den", "Jan. (in script)", "19", and "39 (in script)". CONDITION: the uniform appears to be quite solid with no notable damage, stains, or moth nips. The shoulder seams are open where the original shoulder boards were sewn into the seam. The uniform displays exceptionally well but could definitely use the correct shoulder boards. (02-22929-3/BF). $800-1,200.
