This attractive cavalry visor cap has a sage green wool crown with a dark green wool band. The entire hat is piped in yellow. The crown has an aluminum Army eagle in the front above a small gilded brass Prussian Army eagle. On the band is a high quality silver bullion wreath with metal cockade. Silver bullion chinstrap with aluminum pebble finished side buttons. Black visor with tan underside. Light brown sweatband with beige rayon liner. Under the diamond shaped sweat shield is a gold embossed label that reads “AUG. MULLER MUNCHEN DACHAUERSTR. 123 TELEFON 5 461 (logo)”. CONDITION: hat is quite clean with a few scattered moth nips. Insignia shows light wear. There is a small wear spot on the inside of the visor from tipping his hat. Sweatband has a few separations. Liner has noticeable sweat stains. (02-17962-1/BF). $800-1,200.
