This uniform is for a Hauptwachtmeister of the Fire Protection Police. The field green wool uniform features a black collar and black cuffs with fuchsia piping on the front, the tails, the top of the cuffs, and the collar. The uniform is an 8-button type with four flap pockets on the front. The shoulder boards are black and silver bullion on hot pink. Each shoulder board has two pips, denoting the rank of Hauptwachtmeister. The collar tabs are also hot pink with silver bullion trim. The interior is lined with green rayon and is stamped "FSchP. Wupperial" and "1942 58." The sleeves are lined in a striped white rayon. The lot also includes a small pair of binoculars in a dark brown leather case. The binoculars are marked "Fernglas 08 Nr. 4786 OIGEE Berlin" on the dial. The binoculars appear to have an aluminum body with a textured, green-painted finish. Eyepieces are a black composite material. The leather case has instructions in the lid, of course, in German. CONDITION: uniform generally is quite bright and shows very light wear, except there is a 1" area of wool fabric that is missing, likely from insect damage. Binoculars function but are a bit blurry; the case shows moderate wear. (02-23383-8/BF). $400-700.
