The crown of this hat is tan and the band is a high-grade black velvet material. The entire hat is piped in silver bullion with a matching silver bullion chinstrap terminated by pebble-finished buttons. The peak has a silvered political style eagle and the band has a central white, red & black enameled HJ diamond. Black visor with tan underside. Tan sweatband with ventilation holes in the front and an embossed mark that reads “DEUTSCHES LEDER” within a logo. Cream colored cotton liner with rounded diamond sweat shield. Hat reads under the sweat shield “Deutsche . Qualitatsarbeit GUT UND DAUERHAFT CARIHA Christian Haug BERLIN NO 18 Hochstestr. 29”. CONDITION: the exterior of the hat shows very light wear with expected tarnish on the silvered eagle. Sweatband shows some wear & staining, as does the liner. A wonderful example of a rare hat.
