JUNG. This fine German WWII period Hunting Association dagger measures 19 1/4" overall with an etched 12 7/8" blade marked with a "Z" in shield for Clemen & Jung. The blade is etched with scroll motifs along with trees and game animals. Nickel silver hilt with a downturned scallop shell guard and hooves at the quillons. German silver pommel with a ball capstan. Horn grip with a central deer head insignia of the Hunting Association. German silver mounted leather scabbard with acorn frog stud. CONDITION: blade has some discoloration on the edges. Hilt shows light wear as does the scabbard. The tip of the scabbard is missing its staple. (02-24927/BF). NON-GUN. $700-1,200.
