Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 673f. Bbl. 23 1/2". Blade front sight with sight hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Mismatched numbers throughout. Rifle appears to be a post-war rework but lacks Russian "X" markings or electro-penciled numbers. Receiver top has "bcd 42" markings, denoting mfg. by Gustloff Werke in 1942. Arsenal rework-type blue finish with plum-colored extractor. Hardwood stock set. Cleaning rod is present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: clc1942 code 84/98 bayonet with mismatched scabbard.
