A good example of a WWII German 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger measuring 17" overall with a plain blade marked "ALCOSO (logo) SOLINGEN". Aluminum eagle crossguard with aluminum globular pommel decorated by oak leaves and Party symbols. Wire wrapped off white grip with a bullion knot attached. Plated iron scabbard with aluminum mounts. CONDITION: blade shows light oxidation but would benefit greatly from a good cleaning. Hilt shows light wear and the knot is quite worn. Scabbard has lost most of its plated finish. 2) An example of a WWII German Army dagger measuring 15 3/4" overall with a plain blade marked "ORIGINAL (logo) Eickhorn SOLINGEN". Plated eagle crossguard with plated ferrule and oak leaf decorated pommel. Orange grip and plated iron scabbard that retains 2 hanger clips but no hanger. CONDITION: blade has very very light oxidation that might easily be cleaned. Hilt generally shows light wear but the pommel is loose because the inner threads have been stripped. Scabbard shows light wear with some loss of finish. (02-25326/BF). NON-GUN. $400-700.
