A beautiful example of a WWII German Luftwaffe officer's sword by SMF measuring 34 3/4" overall with a plain single fullered blade marked " (logo) SMF SOLINGEN " with a waffenamt. Aluminum hilt with a feathered crossguard and central gilded mobile Party symbol. The disk shaped pommel also has a central gilded Party symbol. Aluminum wire wrapped blue leather grip. The blue leather covered metal scabbard has aluminum mounts and is complete with its hanger and belt loop/clip. The sword is accompanied by what could be its original dark blue felt sword bag with a zippered top. CONDITION: the sword shows very light wear overall and appears unissued. The felt case is a bit stiff and has a few moth nips. (02-25017/BF). NON-GUN. $800-1,200.
