Overall length 14 3/4”. Blade is etched on one side “Meine Ehre Heisst Treue” and is marked near the hilt on the other side “ROBERT KLAAS (logo) SOLINGEN”. Nickel silver cross guard & pommel with the rear of the cross guard stamped “I”. Black wood grip with plated eagle and black enamel SS button. Scabbard has plated mounts on a black enameled body. Hanger is complete and includes belt loop. CONDITION: blade shows notable scabbard wear. Hilt generally shows light wear, but the grip appears to be broken and reglued on the right top edge. Scabbard has minor wear to the finish. Hanger shows light to moderate wear, as does the belt loop. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (02-18262/BF). $2,500-3,200.
