A very interesting map case which remains in “as brought back” condition and completeness. The pebble finished leather map case contains 5 pencils of varying lengths & styles. A small tin containing approximately 51 WWII era coins apparently collected around Europe by the soldier. The tin also contains 3 WWII German tinnies with pins removed. The lid of the case has a coin and 5 tinnies soldered to it. The case further contains a tape measure, whistle, leather wallet, wehrpass, several maps, several photographs, a District Savings Bank book, a transportation pass, a tin pencil box with colored pencils, and 2 bank notes. CONDITION: leather shows wear but remains supple. Included items show varying degrees of wear. Most coins show average circulation. Zinc coins show oxidation. (02-17952/BF). $400-700.
