Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8064. Bbl. 5 1/2". Round blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. One of approximately 10,540 Astra Model 600 pistols delivered by the Spanish to the German army in 1944. Due to the Allied invasion of France, further pistols were not able to be delivered. Matching numbers on the frame and slide. Right rear of the frame is marked with the German eagle "WaAD20" acceptance stamp. Blued finish. Checkered hardwood grips. MAGS: 2-8 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked leather holster in fair condition with crazing and flaking throughout. CONDITION: grips show some flattened points, dings, and handling wear. Metal retains 80% of its original blue, with overall fading to brown. Good-plus bore with some light frosting but strong rifling. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5854/MJC).
