Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 9565k. Bbl. 23 1/2". Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching original numbers on bbl. and receiver. Floorplate has matching electro-penciled number; other parts have mixed numbers. Rifle appears to be a Russian-captured example, but the bbl. and receiver have a lighter blue finish than the rest of the gun. No visible import or "X" markings. Receiver top has "243 1940" markings, denoting mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde in 1940. Locking screws, rear sight base screw, and cleaning rod are missing. Laminated stock set. with left side sling provisions. CONDITION: cleaned stock set shows remnants of a white sticker on the left side of the butt, some staining, and some handling marks. Metal retains 85% arsenal rework blue finishes with notable pitting along extractor, some edge wear, dings, blued-over pitting, and fading. Action functions properly when hand-cycled.
