This fine dagger measures approx. 16 1/2" overall. It has an etched, double-fullered blade with nautical and foliate motifs on both sides. The reverse is marked "(squirrel) ORIGINAL EICKHORN SOLINGEN." Gilded brass hilt with an anchor on each side of the crossguard and an eagle on the pommel perched on a wreath surrounding a Party symbol. Wire-wrapped, cream-colored grip. Gilded scabbard with a foliate and lightning bolt motif. CONDITION: blade is in near mint condition. Hilt shows the lightest wear. Scabbard also shows very light wear but has a shallow dent below the midpoint. (02-23877/BF). $800-1,200.
