Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 1389g. Bbl. 5". Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. A very fine example of a WWII German police-converted Steyr Hahn. Mfg. 1914 and converted to 9mm Luger post-1938 for use by German police. Matching numbers on frame, slide, and bbl. The right side of the frame has a German eagle "L" police marking. Left side of the frame has a German eagle N proof. Left side of the slide has "08" marking with white highlight paint. Blued finish with strawed safety, trigger, and hammer. Checkered hardwood grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Original Steyr M1912 holster in fair to good condition. CONDITION: grips show a few chipped points, some dings, and handling marks. Strawed parts retain strong amounts of their finish, with some fading and light oxidation. The balance of metal retains 90% of its German arsenal blue with scattered edge wear, light oxidation, and fading. Very good-plus, bright bore. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson.
