A great example of the scarce RAD leader's dagger of WWII Germany. The dagger has an overall length of 15 3/4" and a blade length of 10 1/4". The blade is etched with the motto "Arbeit adelt" which translates to "Work ennobles". The reverse of the blade is marked " PAUL WEYERSBERG & CO. (logo) SOLINGEN ". Silver plated crossguard with RAD symbol on the front. Large plated ferrule and eagle head pommel. Two piece cream colored grip. Silver plated scabbard. CONDITION: dagger shows a beautiful silver patina and the blade shows only the lightest scabbard wear. Hilt shows very light wear and the grip has a few tiny age lines. Scabbard is undamaged and has full plated finish intact. (02-24947/BF). $1,800-2,800.
