SILVER. A very fine example of a WWII German silver & silvered tombak clasp for a bomber pilot. Clasp features a winged bomb surrounded by a wreath & Party symbol flanked by sprays of oak leaves. The clasp shows 2 piece construction & is unmarked w/ a lg. wide pin on the reverse. Interestingly, the badge is in an original box however the box is for a squadron clasp for reconnaissance personnel. The box is blue leather covered & reads on the top in gold, “Frontflugspange fur Aufklarer silber”. CONDITION: badge shows light overall wear & was well cared for over the years. The box shows minor scuffs & scrapes but remains exceptionally solid. (02-16753-1/BF). $600-900.
