Overall length: 14 9/16". Blade is etched, "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue"on the front and is marked, "CARL EICKHORN (squirrel) C.E. SOLINGEN" on the reverse. Nickel pommel and crossguard marked on the reverse, "I". Black wooden grip. Plated grip eagle with black SS button. Plated scabbard with black enameled finish. Original SS hanger marked on the clip, "A" for Assman and "DRGM". CONDITION: blade shows primarily scabbard wear with a few scattered scratches. Crossguard and pommel are solid. Grip shows a few dents and dings with some very minor chipping near the pommel likely caused by an overtightened pommel. Scabbard body appears repainted but possibly in the period. There is a small shallow dent midway up the scabbard. Dagger clip has a missing spring. (02-17560-3/BF). $1,500-2,000.
