A nice example of a WWII German Technische Nothilfe dagger or hewer measuring 16 1/8" overall with a 9 3/4" plain blade marked on the reverse " (teno eagle) GES. GESCH. ORIGINAL (logo) Eickhorn SOLINGEN ". TENO eagle crossguard with a bird head shaped pommel displaying a cogwheel on the front. 2 piece cream colored grip secured by 2 screws. Black enameled scabbard with plated tip and throat. CONDITION: Blade shows primarily scabbard wear, Hilt shows light wear but there is some finish loss on the pommel. Scabbard has light overall wear.
