Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 1506d. Bbl. 23 1/4". Blade front sight with a blued hood that may be a reproduction. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1200m. Rifle is equipped with the original ZF4 scope code "ddx" on a post-war Czech mount. Scope has post-reticle and dirty optics. Leather scope lens covers are present. Left side of the receiver has the eagle "359" Waffenamt, "ac45" code, K43 marking, and serial number. Stamped matching numbers on the receiver, charging handle, and bolt. Locking lugs and firing pin housings have matching electro-pencil numbers. Other parts appear unnumbered. Piston is also unnumbered and stiff when hand operated. Phosphate and blued finishes. Laminated stock set with faint Waffenamt on underside of wrist. Left-side sling provisions with a K98k-style sling. Blued cleaning rod is present. MAGS: 1-10 rd., marked "gcb" with a black enamel finish. CONDITION: stock set appears lightly sanded with a 5 1/2" laminate crack ahead of the floorplate, a couple further scattered laminate cracks, some dings, and handling wear. Metal shows a thinning phosphate and blue finish with some pitting on the charging handle. The rear of the bolt housing has a small crack at the bottom rear. Very good, bright bore.
