1) WWII German Army dagger measuring 15 3/4" overall with a plain blade marked "(logo) WKC SOLINGEN". Plated eagle crossguard with oak leaf embellished pommel and ferrule. Light orange grip and a plated scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a few dark spots but would improve greatly with a proper cleaning. Mounts show loss of plating and some oxidation. Grip is undamaged. Scabbard is sound with substantial loss of plating and oxidation. 2) Post WWII German Luftwaffe souvenir dagger measuring 16 7/8" overall with a plain blade marked "SOLINGEN 1939 B & A (2 ways in a cross)" & "GERMANY" on the opposite side. Aluminum eagle crossguard with oak leaf embellished pommel. Cream colored grip with wire wrapping and a plated scabbard. Daggers like this example were made up after the war and sold to GIs as souvenirs. Generally, the blade and scabbard were made from 1946-47 and the remaining parts were wartime production. CONDITION: blade shows minor scabbard wear. Mounts show tarnish and traces of oxidation. Grip is undamaged. Scabbard is sound with some loss of plating and oxidation. (02-26163/BF). NON-GUN. $600-800.
