RIFLE. Cal. 6.5 Carcano. S# AU6396. Original S# stamped on bbl. Receiver ring has electro pencil matching number on left side. Bbl. 27 1/8". Import-marked on the bottom of the bbl. Open tangent rear sight graduated to 1,000 meters. Blade front sight. Bbl. is marked on the top, over the chamber, with a star and boxed-crowned Terni arsenal marking. Marked on the right side over the chamber with the crown acceptance mark. Straight bolt handle. Upper band has a bayonet lug. A cleaning rod is present. Rifle has provisions for side and bottom slings. Hardwood stock set. CONDITION: stock set has a well-worn arsenal rework finish, which results in an illegible circular mark on the left side of the butt. Stock finish has numerous handling marks throughout, with light staining. There are two small cracks behind the receiver tang. Handguard has a 1" crack ahead of the rear sight. Metal retains 70% of its arsenal rework finish with wear, spots of light oxidation, and handling marks. Trigger guard has a slightly dented profile at the bottom. Bore has lightly worn lands with a frosted appearance. (24-1418/RW). CURIO. $300-500.
