Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 9855. Bbl. 19". Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on receiver, bayonet lug, bolt handle, dust cover, and safety. Floorplate is mismatched. Receiver has ground mum and Type 38 markings; receiver markings have an added white highlight paint. Left side of the receiver has the serial number, Nagoya, and fifth series symbols. Blued finish. Asian hardwood stock set with two-piece butt and left side sling swivels. Underside of butt has a strong Kanji marking. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set has a strong Urushi finish with a couple dents, scattered dings, and handling marks. Metal retains 70% original blue with scattered fading to gray and light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bright, near excellent bore.
