Cal. 6.5 Jap. S# 36589. Bbl. 31 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Trapezoid-shaped aperture rear sight graduated to 2400m. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt handle, safety, and floorplate. Dust cover number appears mismatched. Receiver top has ground mum and Type 38 markings. Left side of the receiver has the Nagoya symbol, serial number, and 28th series marking. Blued finish. Asian hardwood stock set with bottom-mounted sling swivels and repro sling with white Kanji. Underside of butt has strong Kanji markings. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set retains a high degree of Urushi finish with a few gouges, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal retains 90% original blue with scattered light oxidation, fading to gray and edge wear. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling.
