BADGE & PERSONALIZED IRON CROSS. This lot contains items of questionable authenticity that may be of post-WWII manufacture. This Army Paratrooper Badge has a gilded wreath of oak leaves with an Army eagle at the top. The center features a solid silver diving eagle. The reverse has a wide pin with a safety catch near the base and rivet construction. The back of the eagle is marked “800”. The back of the wreath is engraved “Fallschirm – Inf. Btl. Uschfhr. Walter Scheu”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a photocopy of an identification book page with a photo of Walter Scheu. (02-22502/BF). 2) IRON CROSS. A 1st Class Iron Cross with a magnetic center. The reverse has a wide pin stamped “L/12” and is engraved “SS Ustufhr Karl Brommann Schwere SS-. Pz. Abt 503 Ostfront”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: photocopies of information pertaining to Karl Brommann along with copies of photographs of him. (02-22517/BF). CONDITION: both awards show light overall wear. $500-800.
