We encourage interested parties to examine items in this lot closely and in person, if possible. Preview times are available upon request. He commanded U-107 and is credited with sinking 21 ships on three patrols totaling nearly 127,000 gross tons of allied shipping. CONDITION: badge shows light wear overall, with notable tarnish but no damage to the enamel. 2) SUBMARINE BADGE. A nice example of a WWII-style German Submarine War Badge. The badge depicts a laurel wreath with an eagle and party symbol at the top over a profile view of a submarine. The reverse shows a narrow, horizontal pin and is stamped on the back of the submarine “900”. The reverse is engraved “03.07.1941 Kptlt. Gunther Hessler U-107”.
