This lot contains items of questionable authenticity that may be of post-WWII manufacture. We encourage interested parties to examine items in this lot closely and in person, if possible. Preview times are available upon request. 1) FLAK BADGE. A WWII-style German Army Flak Badge in zinc depicting an oak leaf wreath with a Wehrmacht eagle at the top and an anti-aircraft gun in the center. The reverse has a narrow, vertical pin and is stamped "L/58". This badge comes with a matching stickpin featuring a knurled pin. (02-22526/BF). 2) WOUND BADGE. A nice example of a WWII-style German solid Wound Badge in gold. Badge depicts a laurel wreath with crossed swords in the center, superimposed by an M35-style helmet with a party symbol on the side. The reverse has a wide, vertical pin and is marked "L/14". This badge is housed in its black leatherette case with a cream-colored lining. (02-22535/BF). 3) IRON CROSS. A seldom-seen example of a 1st Class Iron Cross from the Franco-Prussian War period. Cross shows a silver-bordered black cross with a crown at the top, "W" in the center, and "1870" at the base. The reverse has a narrow central pin with a humped pin on each side to stabilize the cross. The reverse is stamped "GODET". (02-22556/BF). 4) SPANGE. A fine example of a WWII-style German Spange. The silvered badge depicts a political eagle atop an inverted trapezoidal bar with the date "1939". The reverse has a vertical, wide pin and is stamped "L21". (02-22556/BF. 5) SPANGE. A good example of a WWII-style German Spange. The darkened silver badge depicts a political eagle atop an inverted trapezoidal bar with the date "1939". The reverse has four flat pins and is attached to a WWI Iron Cross ribbon. (02-22556/BF). CONDITION: all badges generally show light wear with no notable damage. $400-600.
