SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 7.62x54R. S# RO782. Bbl. 29" with import marking. Post front sight with hood. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Rifle is equipped with an original Yoshkar-Ola 3.5x power PU scope numbered "4437299". Scope has post-reticle and optics that have a green tint. Left side of the bbl. is stamped "4437299" and the scope mount is also electro-pencil-marked with the same number. Scope has an additional electro-pencil number that matches the receiver. Bolt is matching to the receiver; the bolt and floorplate have been renumbered to match. Bbl. top is marked with the proper "CN" sniper marking, Tula star, and 1943 date. Hardwood stock set with wartime sling slots and hangers with modern black canvas sling. Right side of the butt has a faint Izhevsk cartouche. Left side of the stock has a data sticker with range and velocity information in English. A cleaning rod is present. Stock also has a slip-on rubber recoil pad and a slip-on cheekpiece with a pouch and Communist decoration. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: modern black rubber scope cover, Soviet leather scope cover, and small tool kit. CONDITION: stock was lightly sanded and lacks shellac, but shows some discoloration at the butt where the recoil pad is, a chip at the right rear of the receiver, some scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal retains 93% of its arsenal rework blue with some silvering, edge, and handling wear. Very good, bright bore.
