Cal. 30-06. S# 4026558. Bbl. 24". Remington 9-43 dated with a flaming bomb. Blade front sight with sight protector. Adjustable aperture rear sight graduated to 800yds. Bolt body, cocking piece, safety, mag cutoff, trigger guard, both bands, and buttplate are all of Remington mfg. Barreled action and safety have a parkerized finish. Other parts have a blued finish. Remington made walnut stock with bottom-mounted sling swivels and canvas GI sling. Underside of pistol grip has circled "P" firing proof. Left side of stock has "RA" Remington Arms marking. Left side of butt has "O.G." Ogden Arsenal marking. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: canvas GI muzzle cover marked "U.S." and "TWEEDIE 1944". CONDITION: stock set set has arsenal rework oil finish with a small chip at handguard tip, some light dings, and handling marks. Blued parts retain 95% original finish with some light oxidation, some thinning, and edge wear. Barreled action retains 95% original parkerized finish with some light edge wear. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bright, near-excellent bore. (24-5775/MJC). CURIO. $600-1,000.
