RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 3260319. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on the right side "3-S A 9 44". Throat and muzzle gauge 2.0. "Locking Bar" rear sight with "Battle Range" elevation knob. All major parts markings are "SA". Stamped trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked on the left side with faint boxed acceptance mark which appears to be G.A. W. and "crossed cannons". Boxed "SA" overhaul mark on cheek area. Two encircled "P" proofs under grip. Unmarked Model 1907 brown leather sling with steel hooks. Operating rod does not have the later relief cut. Long fork follower rod. Sling shows wear and flexing. UNNATTCHED ACCESSORIES: cleaning kit in butt. Cleaning rod, M10 in sealed paper tube, canvas cleaning rod case, and CMP sales receipt for the cleaning rods. The sealed foil pack on the paper is not present. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with moderate wear, staining, and handling marks throughout. Metal retains 80% of its arsenal rework finish with areas of thinning and wear.
