RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 3385141. Bbl. 24". Bbl. is marked on right side "1-S-A-12-44". Throat and muzzle gauge 2.0. Locking bar aperture rear sight w/ battle range elevation knob. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. All visible parts markings are SA including the operating rod which does not have the clearance cut. Stamped trigger guard w/ correct early type notch. Cross slot gas cyl. lock screw marked "PO". Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked on left side over trigger guard w/ boxed "S.A. / N.F.R. / crossed cannons". Marked under grip w/ encircled "P" proof & marked at end of pistol grip w/ tiny "crossed cannons". Original WW2 vintage green web sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nickel plated oiler in butt. CONDITION: original finish stock has legible markings with moderate wear and handling marks. Metal retains 80% of its original lightly worn finish. Very good shiny bore with sharp lands. (25-555/RW).
