A scarce example of an early US WWII T5 reserve parachute. The stenciled label on the bottom front of the green canvas parachute container reads “MFG. BY IRVING AIR SHOOT CO., INC. DATE OF MFG. NOV 30’ 42 PART NO. 42K1960-1”. A label on the back of the chute reads “INSPECTION AND PACKING DATA”. Chute comes with several bungee-like cords attached and pull ring is intact. Parachutes are very seldom seen parts of WWII Airborne history. CONDITION: parachute has not been unpacked, but appears to be in superb unissued condition. Cotton shell shows light overall wear.(02-18113-8/BF). $2,000-3,000.
