WITH GRENADE LAUNCHER. Cal. 30-06. S# 1297298. Bbl. 24". Import marked on left side of bbl. Replacement bbl. is marked on right side "1-S-A-9-44". Throat gauges 4.0. Muzzle gauges 8.0. Import marks are very deeply stamped. Receiver manufactured in March of 1943. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Bolt is marked "WRA". Balance of parts marked "SA". Milled trigger guard. Walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked at end of grip w/ encircled "W". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: plastic oiler in butt. M7 Grenade Launcher is marked underneath w/ "IBMCORP" which has been lined out & is now marked "H.S.M. CO". Additionally marked "M7 LAUNCHER FOR M1 RIFLE". Grenade launching sight base is installed on left side of stock. CONDITION: stock set has added finish over worn original finish w/ numerous handling marks & small missing chips. Metal retains 50% of it's worn thinning wartime finish. Original annealing line is visible at rear of receiver. Grenade launcher has considerable wear retaining little of its original finish. Fair worn dark bore. PROVENANCE: Estate of Russell Dickerman. (25-1856/RW). CURIO. $500-800.
