WWI HUNGARIAN FEGVYER, BUDAPEST STRAIGHT PULL LONG RIFLE. MODEL Cal. 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser). S# 54070. After WWI, the the newly formed Yugoslavia converted Mannlicher 1895 rifles to 7.92x57mm Mauser; receiver ring marked "M.95M". This rifle was converted by the Military Technical Factory in Serbia as indicated by "BT3" cyrillic stamp on right side of buttstock. Bbl. 23.5" w/ Model 24 Mauser style ramped blade front sight & 2,000m tangent rear sight. Receiver has been cut for stripper clip loading along w/ thumb cutout on left receiver wall. Matching numbered bolt, mag floorplate, mag. body & 2 piece walnut stock set. Stock set has side & bottom sling swivels along w/ stacking bar. Buttstock has crown "M" proofs throughout. Buttplate is marked "6SB". CONDITION: Good overall as arsenal refinished w/ moderate handling marks. Blue w/ light pitting & peppery oxidation throughout. Good stock finish w/ cracks. No mag. clip is fitted within the mag. well. Good bore w/ strong rifling. (22-636/MD). CURIO. $200-300.
