Cal. 8mm. S# 80637. Bbl. 23 1/2". Model 1924 bolt action short rifle mfg. at the Kragujevac arsenal. The receiver is marked with the Yugoslavian coat of arms above Cyrillic characters denoting "MODEL 1924" over the chamber, with Cyrillic characters also marked on the left. Small parts exhibit various Yugoslavian proof marks. Bolt assembly is polished in-the-white. 1-piece sanded and refinished plain wood stock with plain wood handguard. Standard dovetailed blade front sight with tangent V-notch rear sight graduated 2-20. Stock matches the receiver via the full S#, which is lightly visible beneath the receiver's S#. Bolt is mismatched. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance having faded to gray and brown patinas and exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to mild pitting overall. Poor bore, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting, with virtually no rifling remaining. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows heavy striations from prior cleaning, as well as scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with a notable impression present on the left side, below the rear sight assembly.
