RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 3078545. Bbl. 24". Barrel is marked on the right side "S-A-6-50". Throat gauges 2.0. Muzzle gauges 4.0. T105E1 aperture rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Bolt has had steel lot numbers removed by grinding leaving the balance of the markings visible. All major parts markings are "SA". Milled trigger guard. Buttstock is hardwood replacement and retains a Danish data tag in the barrel channel. Rear handguard is likely original walnut and front handguard appears to be European walnut. Well worn military brown leather sling marked "-44-". UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: early type slotted combination tool in butt. CONDITION: stock set has a lightly worn arsenal rework finish with small scattered handling marks. approximately 2" crack in front handguard. Metal has turned an overall grey with moderate wear and handling marks. Very good shiny bore. (24-5812/RW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
